There are 3 modes of play, Find, Adventures, and 2 ways. You can move the cylinders to show pictures of different locations. In "find" you identify them, in "adventures" the map tells you the 3 steps to get Dora where she is going, just like on tv. 2 Ways teaches the names of the locations in Spanish. When you press buttons, the arrows light up and music plays. There's even a Swiper button that says "oh man". When moving cylinders make sure you hear them click into place, so you will get the correct word/answer.
There is an off/on switch on the back. It uses 3 AA batteries, which are not included, some scuffs and marks from normal play.
